If you go on organised tours from the ship P&O do a block visa, however if you wish to go ashore independantly you will require a visa which I understand takes a while to get and is expensive.

Type your answer here...not if you are part of an organised excursion, we have cruised Baltic and P&O handled all paperwork, In St Petersburg, Russian officials board to check passports etc. Do not assume you can get cabs from ship into St Petersburg and vice versa as they are not allowed on to the dock area. St Petersburg is magnificent, market stalls like payment in dollars public toilets require local currency which is a bit of a mission though we found three ladies could "go" for a dollar enjoy!

If you go on an Arcadia organised tour in St Petersberg then no visa will be required. doing your own thing would probably require a visa.

You don't say which ports you are talking about but assuming it's Russia, then you only need a visa if you are noit doing either a ship's excursion or another organised tour. It is not recommended to try and do Russia on your own in any cas.

It depends where you are travelling. USA operate Visa waiver and you fill in a Green Form, Russia needs a Visa but it's best to go on an organised trip then you wont need one. This information should arrive with you booking if it hasn't check with P & O or whoever you booked with.
