Hi Paul, I am going on the same cruise as you! YIPPEE! It is normal practice to collect tickets from the airport on the day of departure. My advice is to get to the airport early on and take your confirmation letter (which has your booking ref on it) to the Thomson desk. They will then be able to produce your tickets for you. Try not to panic. See you there, Rachel.

Friesner - Answered a Question by Friesner (16 Apr 08 11:08)

Thanks for the responses. Here is an update: After numerous phone calls & speaking to 8 different people Thomsons in Swansea eventually got somebody who understood the problem to ring us back. He tried to resolve it but of course too late to do anything and in any case our booking was still locked on their system by somebody in India! He is arranging for replacement flight tickets to be waiting for us at Luton airport but they cannot issue the cruise documentation in time so we have to trust that they have communicated with Destiny & we can board without embarcation documentation, makes a bit of a mockery of security procedures. He also confirmed that their normal procedure is to send out documentation via a 3rd party as soon as the booking is made but that they have no system for checking that it has actually beeen sent out or received. I wonder how many other passengers we will meet at Luton who are in the same boat! Anyway, nearly Friday so not long til chill time. The first drink is going to taste very good after all this. regards to all, Paul.
