Hi, I take it that 1/2 deck is that your cabin will be on deck 1 or deck 2, both being in the lower part of the ship, therefore you might experience some noise from the engines. We up-graded to deck 4/5 on Thompson Destiny, got a cabin on deck 4, you still hear some noise in the background.

At a guess, not quite a deck running the full length of the ship, like a mini-deck (?

A 1/2 deck is when your'e half in the water,half out. Just joking scales, haydock is spot on, it doesn't run the full length of the ship.
