Have sailed on all thompson ship The med /east and west plus red sea and canaries. of all thomson ship the best so far is the emerald. keep away from the red sea cruise it was a diaaster ( long days travel to valley of kings)we stayed on the ship for the rest of the cruise.Thompson ship cruises provide everything you would want on for a holiday. Best thompson cruise is the black sea odessy (highly recomended.

We have had three cruises on Thomson and our most recent was on the Celebration. We have also cruised with Princess and Costa and Thomson is our favourite! The ships are not new and flashy but clean and comfortable, the staff are excellent, food excellent, entertainment far superior to others we have seen. Tips are included, drink prices reasonable...all in all excellent value for money. We did the Canaries last month but on Costa and wished we were on Thomson!!

We travelled on the Celebration May 07 and were very disappointed-the children just ran riot-we found about eight of them slidding down the stairs-very dangerous for the elderl.

I tried this cruise in February this year, primarily to take part in the 'Latin Dance' promotion. You get what you pay for with Thomson and I would not consider going them again. The food was the biggest disappointment and the Berlitz Guide is spot on. Sorry if that disappoints but it is an honest opinion. Richar.

Hi again. There is an up to date review of this ship and cruise in the 'Reviews' section, dated today by 'Harrison of Durham'. You have been warned.

Celebration to be honest is a very old ship that vibrates like mad and frankly a bit behind all other ships. facilities are also somewhat limited, but for a week, the food was great and plentiful, it wasnt expensive and the service was very good. There were no proper childrens facilities so we were disappointed with that aspect but for what we paid, I would probably go on it again. Best and cheapest time is around November to February. After that, you would probably find a better ship for around the same price or not much more. Hope this helps.

We have done 5 thompson cruises,& would reccomend them to anyone. We,ve tried others but prefare thompsons. The one from Santa Cruz was brilliant. The food has always been excellent and no extra charge if you want waiter service which you dont get on other lines. The staff cant do enough for you. Going on 2 more this year with Thompsons.

We had our first cruise with Thomson last year and really enjoyed it. Yes, they are not the top-of-the-range, up- market type, but I found the passengers to be genuine, friendly people, trying to enjoy themselves and not the moaning-at-anything sort you seem to get on some ships. The food was excellent, the staff superb and we could not fault it. It is also a very reasonable price. What more could you ask for?
