Just cruised the Med on the Celebration and had a terrific time. Accommodation was good, food excellent, phillipino crew were the best, entertainment very good (particularly Stan Johns), beer reasonably priced (£2.70 for Stella or Boddingtons), Captain was an OK guy, good information provided, roll on the next time. Steve and Su.
Went on Thompson Celebration in Oct.2006 from Rome to The Red Sea and enjoyed every minute___comfortable clean cabins, good food, good service, well organised tours, variety of daytime activities and good evening entertainment.
There are some good reviews on this site of thomson Celebration.....what are you worried about? We were on it in October/November and it was fabulous...not new and flashy but clean and comfortable...good food, good entertainment and all the staff were fantastic. Really good value for money so don't worry!!!
On Thomson Celebration in Oct 07 - Med Rennaissance - fantastic! Again on Celebration Jan 08 - Red Sea Magic. Really friendly - good food - super entertainment - altogether very good. Downside lower deck cabins can be noisy if anywhere near engine.
We did our last cruise on Thomson Celebration in the summer 2007 (check the reviews), entertainment first class, service excellent, very good value for money. Go for it.
Weel there are those that would find fault with almost anything, but I don't know where you are getting your info from. Over 90% of many reviews I have read are extremely positive, and having been on the Celebration twice I wojuld wholeheartedly concur with this large majority. Super experience!
Went on the Celebration for my first cruise in 2007 and found the crew, staff and all concerned on board very friendly, curteous and very professional in their attitude to all the passengers.
The cabins are very comfortable, fantastic choice of food on offer on matter in which restaurant you eat, the tours are brilliant, the entertainment team work hard to ensure that the evening entertainment is something to remember.
Overall, just because Thomson seem to be at the lower end of the cruise list, nothing can be faulted in their endeavour to provide an excellent cruise package.
Just come back from Red sea Cruise on Celebration, loved everything about it, the food was fantastic, the cabin was compact but had everything we needed, entertainment fab, could do as little or as much as you liked, only down side was day at sea, not enough room on ship people sunbathing on the floor anywhere they could find. Have booked for next year with Thomson to Canaries.
