You Can take both Casual and Formal, depending on the length of the cruise as to how many Formal Nights that you will have,If you are going on a 7 night cruise you will have One Formal Night, if you take a 10 or 14 night cruise you will have Two Formal Nights, the men do not have to wear a Tux a nice suit and Tie is Fine or you can can get glammed up
Hope this help.
We have just returned from this cruise, and you really need both formal and casual clothes. we had 3 formal nights which are usually the days at sea.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. KR.
Just returned from the med. Ship fabulous, if it is a 14 day cruise you will need black tie 3 times, but there is a buffet dining alternative which is casual.Smart casual means jacket, although most men just wore shirt and trousers. My husband only wore his blazer once.
You will find both casual dining and formal nights. Most people do dress up for formal nights but a smart suit and tie will do - you don't have to do 'black tie' although many do. And if you really don't want to go formal there are plenty of other places you can eat - you don't have to use the dining room every night but it does make for a good social chatty occasion with your fellow passengers. We are actually going on 22nd Sept form Southampton - is that your cruise too?? M.
They have four nights formal so evening dresses for the ladies and dinner suite of dark suite for the gents, the other evenings in the dining room are the sort of clothes you would wear for a dinner date, suits, trousers and jackent of shirt and trousers for the gents, skirts, trousers, and tops for the ladies, in the windjammer it is casual. don't worry to much it is not stuff.
