Find Your Cruise
What time do you usuaally eat at home? Pick the time closest to that. I do always pick late as I do not like eating at 6.15 and I do not want to rush back from being ashore to shower and change before dinner. You will not miss the shows as they have 2 a night. You do not book the seats in the show - there is tons of room.
We find that the early sitting is far too early and whilst the second sitting has some drawbacks to be able to have an unrushed pre dinner drink, a pleasant dance around the floor and meet up with our table companions or other passengers way outweighs any of the small disadvantages. You can't book seats for the shows and if you leave your table at the end of the meal you will invariably find seats with good views. ...Ida Dow.
We have always found the late sitting the best, as you can shower and change without a rush if you have been on a day excursion. Then have a drink before going for dinner. Holiday's are about taking it easy - enjo.
My daughter and I have just returned from a Med cruise in 'Voyager of the Seas' but I expect 'Splendour' will be similar.
We chose the early sitting as we dont like eating too late at night but the shows are arranged so that you can see them after the early sitting or before the late sitting. There is plenty of room in the theatre. You have to collect a ticket for the Ice Show (not to be missed!) All the shows are well worth seeing.
We found the trips gave you ample time for changing for dinner but there is always the self service restuarant if you are pushed and the food there was very good.
