Absolutely fantastic! I've done a Carribbean one and enjoyed so much Ive booked for the next 2 Christmases. The weather is fantastic, atmosphere on board excellent, especially the party and fireworks for new year's eve.YOu get to see about 8 different islands with lots to do on each (or as little as poss if you just want to chill). Compared to a cold Christmas in Britain, I thoroughly recommend it as an alternative.

We have done two Christmas cruises, both with P&O. The first one was on Aurora to the Caribbean with our sons, then aged 15 and 17 years of age. It was absolutely magical. It was our first cruise and after that experience I only wanted our main holiday to be a P&O cruise (we have a property on the Cote d'Azur which we use throughout the year). For us all it was an amazing holiday and the Caribbean Islands were all fabulous (with the exception of Dominica!). We have since done six 22-night Caribbean cruises with P&O although not at Christmas as our sons cannot get enough time off from their studies (we go Southampton to Southampton). We are not interested in flying to cruise. Last Christmas we went to the Canaries on Oriana and had a fabulous time again. Obviously the weather was good but not as hot as the Caribbean at the same time. We had a suite and so were totally spoiled by our Butler (our sons, now 22 and 24 were in an outside cabin along the corridor from us but spent alot of their waking hours with us - mind you they didn't go to bed until about 3 a.m. and slept for at least 10 hours and so a more expensive cabin would have been wasted on them!!). Our Christmas Day Dinner was the best Christmas meal we have ever had - in all respects - whether at home, hotel or restaurant. Fantastic. Had a Christmas meal in Oriana Rhodes on Boxing Day but it didn't come anywhere near the standard and experience of the Peninsular Restaurant the night before. The ships are beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is fantastic. If you can afford it financially and timewise then do it. You wouldn't regret it. Many people do it year after year after year and in 2000 my sons met up with someone from their school who (unknown to us) had been Christmas Cruising with P&O for 10 years!
