We did a flight from birmingham to barbados and left birmingham at 08.30. most flights arrived at the same time in barbados.
it is a very easy transfer as pno do it well controlled you just get off the plane into a bus and to the ship.
no luggage it just arrives in your cabin. well worth the extra to upgrade your seat as it is a long flight in a charter plane
We did a similar trip last year on Oceana and left East Midlands around 9:30am. There will be about 6 planes from various UK airports leaving between 8:30 and 10:00am. Our plane was Thomsonfly but P&O use others such as Thomas Cook. In Barbados, you get off the plane straight into a bus on the tarmac, which takes you straight to the ship. You do not go through the terminal.
We traveled out from manchester on thomas cook flight time out was 9 am I think about that time anyway upgrade your seats if you ca.
