P & O do not add tips to your credit card bill - they recommend an amount and leave it up to you to pay in cash as you feel appropriat.
This is true but if you go to reception when you first arrive on ship say within first two days and tell them you dont want to pay gratuities they dont put them on your bill.
Not again......please type 'tips' into the keywords search box and you will find a million questions [and various heated replies] on the subject. Please, don't think about it and just pay the tips....
It depends on the cruise line look in their small print it will say if tips are included or not.Must admit they doo seem to hide it.
Hi On Arcadia in November tips were paid cash in pounds on the last night Cabin steward /waiter and his assistant you may if you wish tip any one else you feel like, there is a recommended rate which was in the P&O brochure but envelopes and a guide will be left in your cabin you are free to tip more or less than the recommended amount,no tips are added to drinks bought on the ship.
The only P&O ship that has tips deducted automatically is Oceana and only for those on Freedom Dining as they will have different waiters each night. You can still remove this from your bill if you ask at Reception. For Club Dining on Oceana and all the rest of the fleet it is up to you how much you tip and to whom. There is a recommended amount which is in the P&O brochure and will also be on a card in your cabin. Normally you would tip your cabin steward, and your waiter ( who share it with his assistant). It is up to you who else, if anyone you tip.
