Aurora has excellent childrens facilities split into four age groups. They are very well supervised by the "Youth Crew" and activities are organised throughout the day. After 2 days at sea he will not want to get off the ship. See P&O website for details. There is not a lot to do in Vigo. In Madeira you dont need any excursions as you can go on your own up the cablecar and come down on the sledges if you want.

Hi, I have been travelling with P & O since I was three and was brought up on cruise liners, mainly P & O. It is excellent for children, the facilities are superb. He will have a children's disco to attend, lots of computer games and at that time of year I am sure that there will be other children onboard of a similar age. I take my neice with me who is 12 and she loves it. Vigo isnt a great port, not much to do, but you could have a walk round the port or go on a tour, but they are not very exciting. Tenerife you should definately do Loro Park, if they are doing that excursion, if not get a taxi there. Your son will love it, its a big animal park, where they have dolphin shows etc. Madeira is a beautiful port and anything from the Tabogan Run to Scenice Madeira is lovely. Have a great time. Samanth.
