How do i get to my answer, where is the cruise critic section or ports of call. R M Austi.
I can get the answers to everybody's question except my own, when I click on answer it tells me to go to cruise critic and look under ports of call/ what are you on about.
Cruisecritic.com is another website which has a section with advice on ports of call....Barcelona is a very easy place to do on your own...we just got a taxi from the port to Las Ramblas which is the main street....from there they have hop on hop off buses which do tours of the north or south of the city visiting the points of interest with a commentary through headphones. We did the north of the city and then wandered from the city centre back down Las Ramblas looking at all the interesting sights to get a taxi back to the ship ....next time we shall do the south of the city!
In Gibraltar there are plenty of taxis at the port gate willing to take you anywhere fairly cheap...but we walked into the town centre (our third visit so we knew where to to!) about twenty to thirty minutes walk.
In Rome we got a train from the port into the centre of Rome and walked from the Colosseum past the forum to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps...fairly easy if you have the confidence to do it and the train fare is £6 return including underground and bus fares.
Haven't been on P and O but the ships we have been on do give you information on what to do independently in each port if that's what you want to do. Hope this helps.
