Smith - Answered a Question by MIL;S (04 Dec 07 21:32)

Having done this trip last year I worked it all out beforehand. By far the fixed price taxi from JFK to your hotel was the best. Just follow the signs to taxi's and an airport employee asks where you are going to and summons a taxi from the line for you. They inform the driver of where you are going and gives him a written ticket with the destination and the price on. You get another copy. They will not tolerate cowboy cabs. As I recall it was $45. I upgraded to a limo for the ride to the ship at $60 but it wasn't worth it, I would stick to the cab. We will be sailing on the QM2 on 23rd January 2008 doing the very same trip that you are booked on. I hope you enjoy every minute. kind regards Clive Smit.
