That doesn't surprise me at all. Oriana was designed to operate around the world and cope with all sea conditions. Oceana is one of the 4 Sun class ships built by Princess for the US market with the, generally, calmer waters of the Caribbean in mind. As a visual example, just compare the rake of the bows of the two ships to see a difference in design. I don't know how true this is but one crew member said that at many newer ships had flatter bottomed hulls with less draft to enable them to get into more ports and this contributes to poorer sea worthiness in rougher seas as stablisers can only do so much. It could be a load of rubbish but eitehr way I certainly think Oriana is a great ship to be on in a rough sea.
Yes, I agree! I have been in force 9s on Aurora (Oriana's sister ship)and Oceana and the difference was noticeable. Aurora handled it much better.
