My husband and I have recently returned from The Colourful Coasts trip on the Destiny. We boarded the ship in Maderia. It was our first cruise and had read very mixed reviews about this ship. All I can say is that we loved it. We had an inside cabin, which at first sight we thought Oh no! how small it looked, but if you take it for what it is, ie somewhere to sleep and to change, it was fine. I used to get up very early in the mornings to see the ship enter the ports of call, no-one(except crew) would be about, it was lovely, it would be so peaceful and very pretty, as it was still dark but you could see the lights of the coastline and the islands coming into view. I had plenty of time to catch up on sleep later! With regard to asking about Keef. I can't answer that one specifically, but I can tell you that I saw 3 of the shows and they were superb. The young people in the cabaret were really good, very comparable to any theatre shows I've seen recently. The costumes and choreography I will always have a very soft spot in my heart for The Destiny because we were treated so well. The restaurant crew were lovely, if the you saw any member of the crew on your travels round the ship, they would always say hullo to you. The food was good, pleantiful and nicely presented in the Seven Seas Restaurant. The only downside to our trip was an extraordinary mix-up about retrieving our passports. We asked 3 times at the Reception for them and even after we had settled up we were told we would get them on embarkation. We took them at their word and thought we would get them as we were leaving the ship. (We were going on for a Stay week in Maderia). We got off the boat and all hell let loose because we didn't have them with us and someone had to run down from the ship to the customs with them. It happened to another couple too, so we weren't alone!!! However,I suppose looking back it all added to the rich tapestry of our time on The Destiny. Have fun on your cruise. I'd go again tomorrow but we have already booked to go on the Artemis next year (we managed to see this boat in Maderia whilst we were there)but as I say I will always have the fondest memories of The Destiny.

We were on the Destiny from 30th August until 13th September. Keef was leaving the ship the same day we were, to go back on shore before joining another ship in a few months. We had a great time on our cruise, and all I can say is that the entertainment team were brilliant.

I can only agree with the above review. We returned on 26th October from a week on the Destiny and had a fantastic time. Gavin in the Cruise Director and Kane is the Assistant Cruise Director. The entertainment they laid on was fanastic. The comedian, George King was brilliant. Hope you have a good time.
