Niel and Ida Down - Answered a Question by Higgins (02 Jun 08 20:05)

The best advice I can give you is: Look at the details of the shore excursions already offered by Thomson and other cruise lines and highlight what you think you would find exciting or interesting. Google the Web pages of the different ports of call and put "tourism" after it. Read the reviews on cruise orientated web sites and go to the reviews on virtual tourist, trip advisor and cruise critic and look at the dos and don'ts. This all takes time but believe me it can really be worth it and you can do your own excursions, see as much and often much more that the organised lot and best of all, miss out on all the commercial stops that tours insist you do. ...Nei.
