Baltic cruises are very port intensive. For St P you are usually off the ship by 7.30 to make the most of your limited time there. Have you looked into doing a private tour with registered guides like Alla, Red October or DenRus - they may tailor make something for you that gives you your lie in. Also remember that you lose 2 hrs sleep the night before you get to St P due to clock changes.
