Hi, if your ship docks in Venice do your own thing, the port is just outside the city, so get a water taxi or water bus into the city and its easy to walk around. Gondola's cost about 80 euros for 30 mins, you can pick one up in a number of places along the grand canal. One tip would be to advance book the Doges secret palace tour, well worth the money.
