Hello there we went on the Ventura maiden Voyage 18th to 2nd of may The Dress code i thought was good . But there is nothing saying afterwards you cant change . We enjoyed our cruise on the ventura . the only thing i thought it lacked was the size of the dance floor. And for the younger couples no Disco floor we enjoyed the meals very healthy eating .Staff were great . Like you said you cant please every one . Go to enjoy your holiday and you will .make the most of it I found to many people with there nose in the air . its free to smile and say morning afternoon or what ever. but you Enjoy and be happy all the best regards melanie .

I have heard from two lots of friends who have been on the Ventura and they both loved the ship, my wife son and I are going on the Ventura in July and we are determined to have a great time. It is unfortunate that there are so many people about who seem to want to moan about the cruises they go on. Have a great time.

Latest 2 reviews quite good maybe things are getting better, and yes the dress code is suggested and i have and will change even on a formal night if i got to uncomfortable, not having been on this ship i cannot tell what the air-con is like and on some ships the theater and other places are freezing so you may not have a problem.I am beginning to think that people go on a maiden voyage just to be the first to moan about it?go with an open mind enjoy it and will look forwards to your review before we sail in Sept.

See my review about the maiden voyage, posted on 7th May also se my answer to a question by Sratford of East Grinstead posted on 13th may. hope it helps.Dress code? In my experience with P and O most people wear their formal attire for the whole evening. I generally remove my bow tie as the evening progresses as I find a collar and tie uncomfortable. My wife wears flat shoes with her long dresses, as she suffers from MS and cannot walk in high heels due to her balance problems.Hope this comment is usefu.

Ventura - dress code "thank you" to those 4 kind people who replied to my question. i hope to write an honest review on my return - when changing ships it's always difficult to wonder just what to expect - i know the "smoking" policy apparently is changing every day due to the moaners - but hey if we like a ciggy with our drink we'll take it outside on deck away from the non smokers then no one can complain.
